2019 PRESEASON ALL-SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM (COACHES): QB Jon Copeland, UIW, So., Argyle, Texas,...Copeland broke multiple UIW records as a freshman, including passing yards in a single season (2,984), total offense (3,061), passing completions (208) and passing touchdowns (22) en route to a second team all-conference selection. The 2018 Southland Conference Freshman of the Year also threw for 515 yards against Lamar (Oct. 13, 2018). As UIW's starting center, he anchored an offensive line that allowed senior Ra'Quanne Dickens to break the program record for individual rushing yards (1,117) and individual rushing touchdowns (14) in a season.
