  Tyriq Starks threw for 279 yards and three touchdowns, Anthony Reagan Jr. racked up 162 all-purpose yards and three total touchdowns, and Howard cruised by Norfolk State, 44-15 on Saturday in the final game for both teams. The Bison (5-7, 2/3 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) rode a 23-point second quarter to the victory. They outgained Norfolk State 434-323 in the contest. Travis Kerney scored on a 4-yard rush to get Howard on the board, and Reagan Jr. had touchdowns rushing and receiving in the second quarter.

Starks connected with Montrell Walker to put the Bison up 29-9 early in the third quarter, and Reagan Jr.'s second rushing touchdown was a 56-yarder. Andre Cooper II also caught a touchdown in the fourth. Walker led Bison receivers with six catches for 103 yards. Kevon King ran for 96 yards on 12 touches for the Spartans (1-11, 0-5). Howard snapped a three-game skid with the win, while Norfolk State ends the year on a 10-game losing streak in their first season under head coach Michael Vick. - AP College Football

  Anthony Reagan Jr. scored on Howard's first play of overtime as the Bison took down Morgan State 33-27 on Saturday. The Bison (4-4, 1-0 Mid-Eastern) tied the game with 43 seconds remaining in regulation when Ja'Shawn Scroggins connected with Breylin Smith on a 16-yard pass. Reagan Jr.'s second touchdown of the night, a 25-yard rush to take the lead in overtime, boosted his total to 122 rushing yards. He also caught four passes for 36 yards.

Jason Collins Jr. broke free for an 18-yard rush with 3:27 remaining in regulation to give the Bears (4-4, 1-0 Mid-Eastern) their last lead of the game. The game featured five lead changes and four ties. Tyriq Starks was 20-of-27 passing for 163 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions for the Bison. Ja'Shawn Scroggins added 79 yards and one touchdown on 6-for-9 passing. Morgan State leads the series 48-39-3 since the two programs first met in 1899. - AP College Football

  WEEK 4 HBCU FCS NATIONAL TEAM OF THE WEEK: Howard (34-7 win over Hampton),...In the 100th "Battle of the Real HU," Howard led 34-0 midway through the fourth quarter while ending an eight-game losing streak against rival Hampton. The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference squad had nearly 36 minutes of possession, with Travis Kerney fronting a 274-yard ground attack with 113 yards and the first two touchdowns of his career. Safety Kedrick Green (eight tackles, 44-yard interception return) and linebacker Jaquavion Smith (seven tackles, two sacks, forced fumble) were defensive standouts for coach Larry Scott.   Travis Kerney ran for 113 yards on 16 carries and scored two touchdowns to help Howard beat Hampton 34-7 on Saturday. Kerney's 38-yard touchdown run in the first quarter made it 7-0. Kaden Cobb threw a 17-yard scoring pass to KD Mosley to start the second for a 14-0 lead. The Bison (3-1) extended the lead to 20-0 on quarterback Tyriq Starks' 15-yard run. The point-after attempt failed.

Kearney ran it in from the 8-yard line a little past the midway point of the third, and Billy Roberson II ended Howard's scoring with a 23-yard touchdown run with 55 seconds left in the third. Earl Woods III scored the lone touchdown for Hampton (1-3) on a 53-yard dash with 6:56 remaining. Howard outgained Hampton 456-215 in total yardage, with 274 yards coming on 46 carries. - AP College Football
