  DJ Gordon ran for 104 yards on only eight carries and scored two touchdowns in helping undefeated Harvard beat Merrimack 31-7 on Saturday. Gordon twice weaved his way through the middle of the Warriors defense to score. His 24-yard TD in the third quarter extended the Crimson's lead to 21-7 and he added a 19-yard score in the fourth for the game's final points. Jaden Craig was 17 of 29 for 305 yards passing, a touchdown and an interception for Harvard (5-0), ranked No. 20 in the FCS coaches' poll. Brady Blackburn had four catches for 110 yards and Ryan Osborne four for 91 yards and a score. Ayden Pereira threw for 118 yards and rushed for 73 more and a touchdown for Merrimack (3-5), which trailed 13-7 at halftime. - AP College Football

  Jaden Craig threw a touchdown pass and ran for a score to lead Harvard to a 34-10 victory over Cornell on Friday night. Ricardo Lagares Jr. fumbled on Cornell's fifth play from scrimmage and Austin-Jake Guillory scooped up the ball and raced 36 yards for a touchdown and a 7-0 lead. Craig had a 2-yard touchdown toss to Ben Alvarez at the end of a 13-play 52-yard drive for a 14-0 advantage and Harvard (4-0, 2-0 Ivy League) took it into halftime. Kieran Corr kicked a 22-yard field goal at the end of an 11-play 76-yard drive to begin the third quarter for a 17-0 lead. Garrett Bass-Sulpizio scored on a 1-yard run for Cornell (0-4, 0-2) on the ensuing possession and the Big Red trailed by 10. Bass-Sulpizio connected with Johntu Reed for a 27-yard gain on fourth-and-2 to set up the score.

Jonathan Roost kicked a 25-yard field goal at the end of an 11-play drive to cut Cornell's deficit to seven just 4 seconds into the final quarter. Corr answered with a 30-yard field goal for a 20-10 advantage with 11:58 remaining. Craig scored on a 4-yard run with 5:07 left and Jack Donahoe intercepted Bass-Sulpizio on the next play from scrimmage and returned it 39 yards for a touchdown to complete the scoring. Craig completed 21 of 37 passes for 237 yards with an interception. Bass-Sulpizio finished with 127 yards on 18-for-30 passing with an interception. Harvard totaled 413 yards of offense to 193 for Cornell. The Crimson converted 10 of 17 third downs. - AP College Football

  SEPT 22 IVY LEAGUE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jaden Craig, Harvard,...A native of Montclair, Craig completed 24 of his 31 pass attempts for 317 yards and a career-high-matching four touchdowns (21 yards, 16 yards, 44 yards, 1 yard) against a Bears defense that allowed zero points the week before. His passing yardage and completion total, meanwhile, were season bests. Craig, who also rushed once for six yards, was nearly perfect in the first half against Brown, passing for 228 yards on 18-for-21 passing and three touchdowns. The performance guided the Crimson to an insurmountable 34-7 halftime lead.

As a result of Harvard's 2-0 start, the Crimson entered the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Poll this morning, checking in at No. 25. It marks the fourth straight campaign that Harvard has appeared the Stats Perform poll. On the season, Craig has completed 34 of his 44 passing attempts for 525 yards, six touchdowns and zero interceptions. The senior's effort through two games has easily surpassed his production from his first two games of 2024, when he was 24-for-43 passing with five touchdowns, one interception and 395 yards. - Harvard Football

  Dorsey Benefield had a 30-yard pick-6 eight seconds into the game, Jaden Craig threw for 317 yards and tied his career-high with four passing touchdowns, and Harvard took down Brown 41-7 on Saturday. The Crimson (2-0, 1-0 Ivy) has won its Ivy League opener in 22 of the past 24 seasons, with 21 of those wins coming against Brown (1-1, 0-1). Cam Henry caught three passes for 81 yards, including a 44-yard touchdown reception with two minutes to go in the first half. Seamus Gilmartin, Dean Boyd, and Ryan Osborne also had touchdown catches.

DJ Gordon added 73 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown for Harvard. Austin-Jake Guillory, Ty Bartrum joined Benefield with interceptions, and Riley Jenne had the game's only sack. The Harvard defense held Brown to 157 yards of total offense. John Perdue and Miles Brophy had 14 and 12 total tackles, respectively, for the Bears.   Jaden Craig threw for 208 yards and two touchdowns, seven players found the end zone, and Harvard started their season with a 59-7 win over Stetson on Saturday. The Crimson opened against Stetson for the second straight year, with last year's game a 35-0 Harvard win in Cambridge. Along with the rest of the Ivy League, Harvard begins their season in Week 4 of the college football schedule.

A 28-0 first quarter became a 45-0 halftime lead for Harvard, as Isaiah Bullock found the end zone twice and Craig connected with Ryan Tattersall on a 69-yard receiving score. The reserves came in for the second half. Dante Torres completed three passes for 73 yards, and DJ Gordon rushed for 50 yards and one touchdown. Kael Alexander completed 11 of his 20 passes for 113 yards and one touchdown pass. Michael Dempsey caught his only reception for a 30-yard touchdown.   Charlie Dean threw for 316 yards and a career-high four touchdowns, Aidan Borguet rushed for 117 yards and Harvard beat Pennsylvania 37-14 on Saturday. Dean had three touchdowns in the first half for a 24-7 lead. Kaedyn Odermann opened the scoring with his first touchdown catch of the season, Joe Young added a 29-yarder and Tyler Neville scored from 14-yards out with 27 seconds left before the break. Haven Montefalco capped a 75-yard drive to begin the second half with a 6-yard TD grab.

Dean was 29 of 38 without an interception and Borguet reached 100 yards for the third straight game for Harvard (6-3, 4-2 Ivy League). Borguet also moved into sixth on the program's single-season rushing list with 1,120 yards. Jonah Lipel made three field goals with a long of 42. Aidan Sayin was 21-of-31 passing for 212 yards and a touchdown for Penn (7-2, 4-2). Rory Starkey Jr. caught eight passes for 117 yards and a touchdown.   Aidan Borguet ran for 179 yards with two touchdowns, Kym Wimberly also had two touchdowns, and Harvard defeated Dartmouth 28-13 on Saturday. Borguet's touchdown runs of 12 yards in the third quarter and 21 yards in the fourth were the only scoring plays in the second half. Wimberly's 34-yard reception from Luke Emge and his 9-yard TD run helped Harvard to a 14-13 halftime lead. Emge completed 11 of 17 passes for 195 yards for the Crimson (5-2, 3-1 Ivy League). Nick Howard and Zack Bair scored on short runs for Dartmouth (2-5, 1-3). Dylan Cadwallader was 19-of-32 passing for 212 yards for the Big Green.   Charlie Dean threw two touchdown passes, Shane McLaughlin ran for two scores, Ledger Hatch caught two touchdown passes and Harvard scored 24 unanswered to start the second half in a 41-25 win over Howard on Saturday. Harvard (4-1) took a 17-7 lead behind touchdowns from McLaughlin and Hatch before the Bison (1-5) rallied to knot it at 17 before intermission. The Crimson scored a pair of touchdowns and blocked two kicks in the third quarter for a 31-17 advantage and scored 10 more in the final stanza. Harvard improved to 3-0 on the road this season. Aidan Borguet ran for 107 yards on 19 carries with a touchdown for Harvard. Jaylon Tolbert threw for 206 yards and two touchdowns but was intercepted twice for the Bison. The sacks totaled 23 yards in losses, and Leskovec had two other tackles for no gain as part of his seven overall stops, including a career-best six solos.   Charlie Dean threw a pair of second-half touchdown passes, Aidan Borguet ran for more that 100 yards and Harvard beat Cornell 35-28 on Friday night. Dean was 15-of-29 passing for 208 yards with a TD pass each to Tyler Neville and Scott Woods II in the third and fourth quarters. Aidan Borguet finished with a season-high 165 yards, and his 2-yard touchdown run capped an 11-play, 71-yard drive that lasted six minutes and stretched Harvard's lead to 35-21 with 2:50 to play. Kym Wimberly had five catches for 82 yards for Harvard (3-1, 2-0 Ivy League).

Cornell (2-2, 0-2) took a 7-0 late in the first quarter when Jameson Wang's 1-yard touchdown run ended an 18-play, 89-yard drive that chewed up 10 minutes. But two Jonah Lipel's field goals sandwiched between Jelani Machen's 17-yard scoop and score off a blocked punt gave Harvard a 13-7 lead at halftime. The Big Red pulled to 27-21 on Wang's 11-yard touchdown pass to Thomas Glover with 9:03 to play. Wang ended the scoring with a 1-yard TD run with 57 seconds left. Wang completed 18 of 31 passes for 185 yards and added 83 yards rushing that included three short-yardage touchdown runs for the Big Red.
