The Missouri football team addressed a glaring need through the transfer portal, landing a commitment from Australian punter Riley Williams, one of the top punters at the FCS level this past season. As a freshman at Towson University, Williams ranked fourth nationally with 44.7 yards per punt and earned second-team All-Colonial Athletic Association honors. The native of Victoria, Australia, booted two 60-yarders, had 16 50-yard punts and placed 13 of his 46 punts inside the opponent's 20-yard line. Williams came to Towson from Australian Catholic University, where he swam, played Australian Rules football and cricket. The Tigers must replace both of their punters from the 2022 season. - Post-Dispatch

2022 ALL-CAA FOOTBALL SECOND TEAM: Riley Williams, Towson, P, So.,...Williams notches an all-league award in his first year of collegiate football. The Victoria, Australia native is fourth in all of FCS with 44.7 yards per punt, having 16 punts of over 50 yards and 13 punts placed inside the 20-yard line. Marshall running back Tyler King has been dismissed from the team for an unspecified violation of team rules and policies. Marshall's athletic department announced the move Monday.
