  2022 ALL-CIAA FIRST TEAM: LB Montre Moore, Chowan,...After a stellar season as the quarterback of the defense, Montre Moore was selected on the First Team. Moore is the first linebacker to be named First Team in program history. The San Bernardino, Calif. native is the first player in the CIAA since the 2015 season (Moses White, Shaw) to post 100 tackles in a single season. The 12 student-athletes represented are the most in program history topping the 2018 and 2021 season of 11 student-athletes. Dallas Caporaletti, Catlett, Va. native, was named First Team Offensive Line after leading the Hawks to the third ranked rushing offense in the CIAA.   2021 CIAA OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: QB Bryce Witt, Chowan,...During his senior season, Witt passed for 2864 yards on 220 completions, averaging 286.4 yards per game, with 31 touchdowns and a 66.3 completion percentage, all of which led the CIAA. The Sutherland, VA native had a 167.1 efficiency rating and added 11 rushing touchdowns, ranking second in the conference in both categories. One of the most prolific passers in Division II, Witt ranks top 10 or better nationally in several categories – including second in point scored (252), second in points scored per game (25.2), eighth in passing touchdowns, eighth in passing efficiency, ninth in completion percentage, and tenth in passing yards. He also ranks top 16 nationally in both completions per game and passing yards per game as well as 18th in rushing touchdowns. Witt helped Chowan lead the CIAA in scoring offense at 38.5 points per game (14th in nationally) and total offense at 432.2 yards per game during the regular season while posting their highest win total since 1983. - Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Football

  2019 FIRST TEAM ALL-CIAA (COACHES): Running Back Deshaun Wethington, Chowan,...Wethington rushed for a single-season record 1,377 yards and posted 12 rushing touchdowns. Wethington finished second in the country in all-purpose yards per game (183.5), second in rush yards per carry (8.77), second in rush yards per game (172.1), and fifth in the country in total rushing yards. All of those would lead the CIAA. The Suffolk, Va. native would miss two games this season and still put up First Team All-CIAA numbers.
