  Logan Bitikofer threw a 45-yard pass to Dominic Lyles for Bucknell's second touchdown of the fourth quarter and the Bison rallied to beat Georgetown 20-17 on Saturday and keep their Patriot League title hopes alive. Simeon Page blocked and recovered a punt to set up a 3-yard rushing TD by Chad Freshnock earlier in the quarter but a 2-point conversion failed and the Bison trailed 17-12. But Bitikofer found Lyles deep down the left sideline with 10:47 remaining and the Bucknell defense held from there. It was the defense that gave Bucknell its other score when Nnamdi Unachukwu forced a fumble and Gavin Pringle returned it 55 yards in the first quarter. Bucknell only had 236 yards offense but its defense recovered three fumbles and intercepted a pass. Joshua Stakely ran for 139 yards on 28 carries for the Hoyas (5-5, 1-4). The Bison (3-7, 3-2) are in a three-way tie for second with Lafayette and Lehigh behind Holy Cross (4-1) with one league game remaining. - AP College Football

  NOV 11 PATRIOT LEAGUE PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORABLE MENTION: Gerrit Van Itallie, Bucknell, Jr., LB, Mahwah, N.J./St. Joseph Regional,...Van Itallie posted six tackles, 2.5 TFLs, 1.0 sack, one pass breakup and a fumble recovery on Lehigh's final drive of the game.   Logan Bitikofer overcame two interceptions with two touchdown passes and Bucknell controlled Lehigh in a 20-10 win on Saturday. The Bison (2-7, 2-2 Patriot League) never trailed. Tyler Keiser's 20-yard field goal early in the second quarter put the Bison up. Later in the quarter, Bitkofer threw a 24-yard TD pass to Stefone Moore-Greene for a 10-point lead. Austin Henning put the Mountain Hawks (4-5, 3-2) on the board with a 33-yard field goal with 47 seconds left in the half. Late in the third, Bitkofer threw a 19-yard scoring pass to John McGuire. Keiser added another field goal before Alec Beesmer threw a 2-yard TD pass to Devon Bibbens with 7:11 left for Lehigh's lone touchdown. Bitkofer threw for 190 yards while the Lehigh used three quarterbacks to try and generate offense. Tyler Monaco threw for 117 yards, Beesmer, 84, and Addison Shoup, 14. The Bison stuffed Lehigh's ground game and held the Mountain Hawks to -6 yards on 22 carries. - AP College Football

A year ago, he was the lone Patriot League student-athlete honored on Athlon Sports's All-America squad.   2019 PRESEASON PATRIOT LEAGUE FIRST TEAM (SID'S/COACHES): P: Alex Pechin, Bucknell (5th),...A rare two-time captain, Pechin returns in 2019 after being granted an extra year of eligibility due to a season-ending injury suffered in his sophomore season's second game. A year ago, he was the lone Patriot League student-athlete honored on Athlon Sports's All-America squad. It was his sixth All-America award of his senior campaign; he was also recognized on the STATS, Phil Steele and Hero Sports All-America First Teams and the AP and AFCA All-America Second Teams.

He was Bucknell's first specialist to garner All-America laurels from the AFCA and AP. Pechin's awards haul in the 2018 off-season was impressive. In addition to his six All-America awards, he earned All-Patriot League First Team accolades for the third time and All-ECAC First Team laurels for the second time. One of the finest punters in Bison history, he finished first in the FCS in punts (81) and punting yards (3,606) and fourth in punting average (44.5) in 2018. - Bucknell Football

  2019 PRESEASON PATRIOT LEAGUE FIRST TEAM (SID'S/COACHES): LB: Simeon Page, Bucknell (Jr.),...In 2018, Page started Bucknell's first seven games at a hybrid defensive lineman/linebacker position before losing the season to injury. At the time, he was the team leader in tackles for a loss (9.0) and sacks (4.5) and stood fifth among Bison with 38 tackles (20 solo). Despite missing the final four games, he led the team in sacks, finished second in forced fumbles (2) and placed third in tackles for a loss. He will enter his junior campaign with 13.5 career sacks, just three away from cracking Bucknell's top 10. - Bucknell Football
