Getting right to the point, with Zach Wilson gone, who will become BYU's next quarterback? The moment Wilson opted to not come back to Provo for his senior season, the QB race got started. Luckily for BYU, there are plenty of horses in the race. The list of candidates consists of Baylor Romney, Jaren Hall, Sol-Jay Maiava-Peters, Jacob Conover, Rhett Reilly and Mason Fakahua. Assistant coach Aaron Roderick, who recently went from being the Cougars quarterback coach to offensive coordinator, said the upcoming battle and decision for the starting quarterback position will be tough, but most likely will start with who the staff has seen play in a game. In that regard, Romney leads all other candidates. - Salt Lake Tribune

2020 LOU GROZA AWARD (TOP KICKER) FINALIST: Jake Oldroyd, BYU,...A 6-foot-1, 195-pound sophomore from Southlake, Texas, Oldroyd finished the season a perfect 13-for-13 on field goals, the most by an FBS kicker without a miss this season. More than half of those kicks came from at least 40 yards out, including three from over 50. That gives him more 50-yard field goals in a perfect season than any FBS kicker since at least 2004. While sharing the top spot in nation with a perfect percentage, Oldroyd also converted 60 of 62 extra points to tie for No. 2 nationally for the most PAT conversions, while his 99 total points in 2020 ranks No. 11 in the country. - BYU Football

"My decision is bittersweet because I must leave my teammates, coaches, and friends at BYU," Christensen said in his post. "My time at BYU has been nothing short of amazing.
