Maryland Football   Malik Washington threw two touchdown passes to Shaleak Knotts and also ran for a score in his Big Ten debut as Maryland remained unbeaten by trouncing Wisconsin 27-10 on Saturday. Maryland (4-0, 1-0 Big Ten) has outscored its first four opponents 130-36 and already has matched its win total from last season. Washington a true freshman, connected with Knotts on a 9-yard score early in the second quarter and hit him again for a 62-yard strike that capped a 99-yard drive with 9:03 remaining. Washington went 18 of 34 for 265 yards. Knotts had three catches for 80 yards. Octavian Smith Jr. added six receptions for 113 yards.

Maryland also recorded six sacks and blocked a field-goal attempt and a punt as Wisconsin (2-2, 0-1) dropped to 15-15 in Luke Fickell's coaching tenure. The Badgers trailed 20-0 at halftime as the Camp Randall Stadium crowd chanted "Fire Fickell." This game was billed before the season as a chance for Wisconsin quarterback and Maryland transfer Billy Edwards Jr. to face his former team, but it didn't work out the way he had hoped. Edwards, who hadn't played since spraining his knee in the second quarter of the Badgers' season opener, started the game. The Badgers then had Danny O'Neil start Wisconsin's second series. Edwards came back in for one play but seemed to limp as he got away from pressure. - AP College Football

Harris had 10 total tackles, four of them solo, and two sacks.

The Bulls (3-1) led 21-7 at halftime and blew the game open in the third quarter, scoring 35 points, with their defense forcing the Bulldogs to go three-and-out three times in four drives.   Arkansas Football   Sutton Smith rushed for a career-high 147 yards, including a 64-yard scoring run with 4:51 left to lead Memphis to a 32-31 victory over Arkansas on Saturday. Arkansas' closing effort was thwarted when Razorbacks runner Mike Washington Jr. fumbled deep in Memphis territory. The fumbled was caused by Marcello Bussey, who also recovered the ball at the Tiger 7 preserving the Memphis (4-0) victory. Tiger quarterback Brendon Lewis rushed for 103 yards and added 199 yards passing. Lewis rushed for two touchdowns and threw for another.

Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green threw for 325 yards and a touchdown as Arkansas (2-2) lost its second straight. The game was a bit of a neighborhood showdown, the two teams' fanbases separated only by the Mississippi River. But this was only the sixth meeting between the schools, and the first since 1998. After feeling their way through the first quarter, the Razorbacks opened the offense, mixing its passing attack with the rushing of Braylen Russell. Rohan Jones scored on a 62-yard pass on the Hogs' opening drive and later on a 5-yard run. Touchdowns from both teams late in the first half, including a 38-yard scoring pass from Lewis to Cortez Braham Jr. left pulled Memphis within 28-17 at the break. - AP College Football

San Diego Football   Adam Criter rushed for three touchdowns in the fourth quarter, including a go-ahead score with 1:04 remaining, and San Diego rallied from a 21-point deficit to beat Princeton 42-35 on Saturday. San Diego trailed 21-0 after the first quarter and 35-14 late in the second. Criter's late 8-yard touchdown run capped an 11-play, 81-yard drive that took nearly six minutes off the clock. Kai Colon led Princeton past midfield with eight seconds left, but his Hail Mary toss to the end zone was broken up on the final play. Criter had 25 carries for 105 yards for San Diego (2-2). He started in place of the injured Matt Colombo, who rushed for 202 yards in an overtime win on Sept. 6.

Tyler Voss was 25-of-34 passing for 237 yards and three touchdowns for San Diego. Cole Monach and Christopher Hall each made seven catches for 90-plus yards. Josh Heverly had eight catches and two touchdowns. Colon was 12 of 18 for 196 yards and a touchdown for Princeton (0-1). Blaine Hipa also threw for 87 yards.   TCU Football   Eric McAlister had eight catches for 254 yards and three of the career-high five touchdowns thrown by Josh Hoover as TCU beat SMU 35-24 on Saturday in the last scheduled game between the former Southwest Conference rivals that played for the 104th time in 110 years. Hoover finished 22-of-40 passing for 379 yards, and now has 53 TD passes in his 22 career starts. McAlister's 70-yard catch-and-run score with 9:18 left put TCU (3-0) ahead to stay, and he added a 44-yard touchdown three minutes later. The longer of those scores came three plays after Kevin Jennings' third TD pass for the Mustangs (2-2), a 34-yarder to Jordan Hudson gave them their only lead at 24-21.

The Horned Frogs for now will hold on to a 54-43-7 lead in the "Battle for the Iron Skillet" that had continued since the SWC broke up after the 1995 season, except for 2006 and the pandemic-impacted 2020 season. Jennings finished 24-of-37 passing for 290 yards and three touchdowns, along with two interceptions. There was another impressive catch by McAlister inside the 1 that didn't count, a leaping grab late in the third quarter while defended on a third-and-15 from the 30, though officials ruled his foot landed out of bounds. There was no replay review by officials, even though coach Sonny Dykes called timeout before the Frogs missed a 47-yard field goal. It also appeared McAlister had a catch in the end zone late in the first half, but SMU cornerback Jaelyn Davis-Robinson pulled the ball away for an interception instead of a touchdown as they fell in the end zone. - AP College Football

Louisville Football   Keyjuan Brown ran for two touchdowns and Caullin Lacy had his best game in a Louisville uniform as the Cardinals rolled to a 40-17 victory Saturday over Bowling Green. Brown, a redshirt sophomore listed third on the depth chart, ran 12 times for 84 yards and got the bulk of the workload in the backfield. The team announced at the kickoff that starter Isaac Brown was limited in practice and second-stringer Duke Watson likely would not play.

Lacy returned a punt 75 yards for another score, which atoned for a muffed return that led to a first-quarter field goal for the Falcons (2-2). The senior also caught nine passes for 110 yards, his highest totals since coming to Louisville last season from South Alabama. The Louisville defense picked off Falcons quarterback Drew Pyne twice inside the 50 in the first half as the hosts led 21-3 at halftime. Pyne finished 12-of-22 passing for 131 yards and a fourth-quarter score. - Louisville/AP College Football

Pitsenberger's third touchdown, a 10-yard run up the middle, made it 28-3 with 11:49 left in the game. Sitting on a 7-3 lead at halftime, Pitsenberger's second 1-yard touchdown run made it 14-3 and then Dante Reno connected with Nico Brown for a 29-yard score. Reno was 13 of 18 for 166 yards and the Bulldogs had 318 yards of offense to overcome 13 penalties for 100 yards. Brown finished with 119 yards on five receptions.   Texas Tech Football   Texas Tech quarterback Behren Morton took a big hit on the run and was ruled out of the 17th-ranked Red Raiders' game against No. 16 Utah on Saturday. Morton's helmet slammed on the turf after he slid head first into contact with Utah linebacker Johnathan Hall during his team's opening drive of the third quarter. Officials reviewed the play for targeting but deemed it a clean hit by Hall.

A member of the Texas Tech medical staff escorted Morton to the locker room to be evaluated for a potential concussion. Backup quarterback Will Hammond took over for Morton on the Red Raiders' next drive. Morton exited for a couple of plays in the first half after getting shaken up on a hard hit from Utah defensive end John Henry Daley. He threw for 142 yards with two interceptions on 12-of-19 passing. Texas Tech led 10-3 when he was ruled out. Hayes started his second straight game in place of Kirk Francis and completed 23 of 36 passes without an interception for Tulsa (2-2), which last beat Oklahoma State in 1998. The last touchdown was critical as it capped a 14-play, 75-yard drive that chewed up more than 5 1/2 minutes to open the second half and put the Leopards ahead 24-14. Two snaps later Kevin Dodard picked off Chase Goodwin and Lafayette capitalized with the first of two 1-yard touchdown runs by Ethan Weber. Weber finished with 57 yards as the Leopards piled up 232 yards on the ground.

Kansas Football   Chase Jenkins threw for a touchdown and ran for another, Daelen Alexander rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns, and Rice beat Charlotte 28-17 on Thursday night in an American Conference opener for both teams. Rice has opened a season 3-1 for the first time since 2001, when the Owls won six of the first seven. Scott Abell is the first coach to have three wins in his first four games of a career at Rice since Bo Hagan in 1967. Jenkins was 8-of-11 passing for 87 yards, and he carried it 10 times for 71 yards. Quinton Jackson added 80 yards on the ground.

Charlotte's first touchdown came with 7:27 left in the fourth quarter after Grayson Loftis' 31-yard connection with Javen Nicholas. A successful two-point conversion capped the scoring. Rice had a key sack on each of Charlotte's final two possessions to help seal it. Loftis was 15 of 31 for 186 yards for Charlotte (1-3).
