09/07 WEEK 1 SWAC SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jahbari Kuykendall, Prairie View A&M,...The Junior from Houston, Texas opened the Labor Day Classic, setting the tone with a 90-yard kickoff return touchdown on the first play of the game. Kuykendall led the day with two returns, 110 yards and one touchdown as Prairie View A&M surged past Texas Southern for a 52-14 victory. Kuykendall's explosiveness was also displayed in the backfield getting loose for a 29-yard gain while have a total of two rushes for 37 yards. Through four returns on the season, Kuykendall is ranked No. 2 in the SWAC in return yards and now adds his first weekly honor of the season. - SWAC Football

Bruce also added three receptions for yards, adding 24 yards having and being named the SWAC TV Gatorade Player of the Game. Troy Bruce's rushing attacks attributed to Alabama A&M 279 rushing yards and 471 yards of total offense. The 5th year running back had personal and FCS-season highs in rushing yards (250) and scrimmage yards (297) en route to the Texans' second win over an FCS opponent over as many years. The return, which came late in the fourth quarter, was the only touchdown scored by the Wildcats on Saturday and was the first kickoff-return touchdown since 2019 and the longest run for ACU since the 2009 season. AUG 31/WEEK 0 BIG SKY CO-SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Lindsey Graves, KR, Northern Arizona,...Lindsey Graves provided Northern Arizona the spark they needed in the 34-27 victory over Eastern Washington in the conference opener, as the freshman housed a 100-yard kickoff return in his first collegiate game. Graves' kick return touchdown came when NAU trailed 24-3 late in the second quarter, sparking 24 unanswered points as the Lumberjacks outscored the Eagles 31-3 to close out the game. The win snapped a 20-game losing streak for NAU when trailing at halftime. Graves becomes just the second Big Sky player in the last two seasons to return a kickoff 100 yards for a score, joining former Lumberjack and current Denver Bronco Kolbe Katsis, who achieved the feat in 2025.
