  Drake Football   WEEK 13 PIONEER FOOTBALL LEAGUE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Nick Herman, Drake (Freshman, Running Back, Chicago, Illinois),...Herman pieced together the FCS' eight-best rushing performance of 2025 in a 17-10 Drake win at Morehead State that secured sole possession of the 2025 PFL title and the league's automatic bid. He finished the game with 253 yards on 27 carries for only the second 200-yard rushing performance in the PFL this season. After Dayton fumbled deep in Davidson territory on its first possession, Williams intercepted a pass and returned it 32 yards for the game's first touchdown.   Valparaiso Football   WEEK 12 PIONEER FOOTBALL LEAGUE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Rowan Keefe, Valparaiso (Junior (RS), Quarterback, Park Ridge, Illinois),...Keefe led Valparaiso to their largest come-from-behind victory in program history, accounting for 24 points in a 32-31 overtime victory against Stetson. The Beacons trailed 24-0 with under six minutes left in the third quarter. Keefe started the comeback effort with a 55-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Ricketti, and he tossed the two-point conversion to Max Carter to make it 24-8. He sent the game to overtime with a two-yard touchdown pass to Devin Yeats as time expired in regulation, tying the game with another two-point conversion pass to Colin Hayes. Keefe capped the day with a two-yard touchdown run and another two-point conversion pass to Hayes to claim the walk-off win.   Valparaiso Football   WEEK 12 PIONEER FOOTBALL LEAGUE SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Nic Lendino, Valparaiso (Sophomore (RS), Defensive Back, Naperville, Illinois),...Lendino's blocked punt in the third quarter fueled Valparaiso's come-from-behind effort in a 32-31 overtime win against Stetson. After Valparaiso scored its first touchdown, the Beacons' defense forced a punt in Stetson territory. Lendino blocked the attempt, and the ball went out of bounds and was recovered at the Stetson 31-yard line. Valparaiso scored on the ensuing drive, cutting its deficit to 24-16 at the end of the third quarter.   Drake Football   WEEK 12 PIONEER FOOTBALL LEAGUE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Sean Allison, Drake (Senior, Linebacker, Hinsdale, Illinois),...Allison intercepted two passes and has 12 tackles (eight solo) to lead a Drake defensive effort that held Dayton off the scoreboard until under nine minutes remaining in the game en route to a 14-6 victory on the road. Allison's first interception came in the end zone late in the first quarter to deny Dayton what proved to be a pivotal scoring opportunity. Allison's second interception, which included a 16-yard return, came on Dayton's first drive of the second half, stopping a drive that had reached midfield. He then had a pass breakup on a 4th-and-12 opportunity on the Drake 15-yard line, forcing a key turnover on downs.   Valparaiso Football   WEEK 11 PIONEER FOOTBALL LEAGUE SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Ryan Ricketti, Valparaiso (Freshman (RS), Return Specialist, Rocky River, Ohio),...Ricketti amassed an FCS season best 198 yards on four kickoff returns, including his second 100-yard kick return for a touchdown, in Valparaiso's 43-27 loss to San Diego. His 100-yard kick return gave Valparaiso a 21-20 lead with 10:44 remaining in the third quarter. Averaging 49.5 yards per return, he also had kick returns of 39, 19, and 40 yards, and finished with 256 all-purpose yards with six receptions for 58 yards added to his tally. He is the only FCS kick returner with two 100-yard returns this season (13 100-yard returns in 2025) and the first FCS player with multiple 100-yarders in a season since 2022. - Pioneer Football League

  Marist Football   WEEK 11 PIONEER FOOTBALL LEAGUE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Chase Hatton, Marist (Freshman, Safety, West Chester, Pennsylvania),...Hatton picked off two passes, both in a decisive second quarter, as Marist posted a 41-13 victory against Stetson. He also had a game-best 12 tackles (three solo), a pass breakup, and a half tackle for loss in just three quarters of action. Hatton kicked off Marist's 28-point second quarter with an interception on the first play of the half and a six-yard return to set up a scoring drive. Six minutes later, he had his second interception of the first play of a drive, this time in Stetson territory, which turned into the quarter's third touchdown on the next play.   Morehead State Football   WEEK 11 PIONEER FOOTBALL LEAGUE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Ryan Upp, Morehead State (Graduate, Wide Receiver, Leesburg, Virginia),...Upp's seven-yard touchdown reception with 52 seconds remaining lifted Morehead State to a 31-30 victory against Butler. He caught nine passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns on the day, pushing past 1,000 receiving yards this season. In the first half, Upp had a 57-yard receiving touchdown that put Morehead State up 21-17 with 5:38 remaining in the half as Morehead State built a 24-17 halftime lead.   Saint Thomas Football   WEEK 10 PIONEER FOOTBALL LEAGUE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Andy Peters, St. Thomas (Graduate, Quarterback, Boise, Idaho),...Peters wins the PFL offensive honor for a second consecutive week after accounting for the game's first five touchdowns in St. Thomas' 45-0 victory against Marist. He completed 14-of-19 passes for 248 yards (17.7 yards per completion) and two touchdowns. Peters also ran for three touchdowns in a 13-carry, 28-yard effort. He opened the scoring with a 38-yard touchdown pass to Quentin Butler, then ran for the game's next three touchdowns, which were all one-yard carries, the first at 2:44 left in the first quarter and then at 8:15 and 2:18 of the second quarter. Peters capped the first half scoring with a seven-yard touchdown pass to Luke Schuler with 13 seconds left in the half.   Saint Thomas Football   WEEK 9 PIONEER FOOTBALL LEAGUE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Andy Peters, St. Thomas (Graduate, Quarterback, Boise, Idaho),...After missing the Tommies Week 8 game, Peters returned to post a career-best 292 passing yards in a 52-10 PFL victory at Stetson. He completed 22-of-28 passes, averaging 10.4 yards per completion, for three touchdowns along with a career-high in passing yards. Peters tossed a 63-yard touchdown pass to Stefano Giovannelli in the first quarter, a 30-yard scoring throw to Luke Schuler in the second quarter, scored on a one-yard run in the third quarter, before capping his day with a 19-yard touchdown pass to JaShawn Todd just before the end of the third quarter. Peters had 80 yards on 10 carries without being stopped for a loss and finished the day with 372 yards of total offense.
