San Jose State (2-5, 1-2 Mountain West Conference) has won five in a row against Hawaii. The Rainbow Warriors (6-3, 3-2) had their three-game win streak snapped. Landon Sims ran for a 2-yard TD late in the third quarter and Micah Alejado threw a 20-yard TD pass to Jackson Harris to make it 38-35 with 9:32 to play, but San Jose State answered with a seven-play, 75-yard drive that culminated with Chavez-Soto's third touchdown, a 1-yarder, gave the Spartans a 10-point lead with 5:41 to play.

Eget was 20-of-40 passing for 458 yards with no interceptions and Scudero had seven receptions for 215 yards. Hawaii's Cam Barfield opened the scoring with a 1-yard run in the first quarter but San Jose State scored the next 21 points to take the lead for good.   Oklahoma Football   John Mateer threw for 159 yards and ran for 80 yards and a clinching touchdown with less than two minutes to play to lead No. 18 Oklahoma to a 33-27 win over No. 14 Tennessee on Saturday night. The Sooners (7-2, 3-2 Southeastern Conference) capitalized on three turnovers by the Volunteers (6-3, 3-3) to score 13 points. "Our guys matched (Tennessee's) physicality, and then some," said Oklahoma coach Brent Venables. "The pile constantly went in our direction. All those piles that fall forward add up to a lot." R Thomas Mason returned a fumble 71 yards for a score and Tate Sandell hit two field goals after interceptions. Sandell had four field goals in the game - two from 55 yards and one from 51. Joey Aguilar threw for 393 yards and a pair of touchdowns to Braylon Staley, who caught five passes in all for 75 yards for the Volunteers.

Though Tennessee dominated the first-half offensive stats (255-99), the Vols' mistakes allowed Oklahoma to lead, 16-10. "We didn't handle (Oklahoma's defense) well enough," said Tennessee coach Josh Heupel. "We gave them 16 points in the first half." Oklahoma's defensive pressure was obvious. Aguilar was sacked four times and harassed several other times. The Sooners allowed just 63 rushing yards. "(The Sooners) try to disguised coverages, and they did well on that," said Aguilar. "They like to go after the quarterback." "Some of the pressures (Oklahoma) had were a little different (from past games)," Heupel said. "We got beat a couple times." - Oklahoma/AP College Football

Oregon State Football   Anthony Hankerson ran for 132 yards and a touchdown and Oregon State rallied in the fourth quarter for a 10-7 victory over Washington State on Saturday night in the first of two games between the two Pac-12 teams this season. Because the teams play twice this season, Saturday's meeting was considered a non-conference game. The Cougars and the Beavers play again in Pullman on Nov. 29, for the final game of the season, which will determine this year's winner of the two-team Pac-12. Washington State led 7-3 in the fourth quarter when Hankerson ran for a 1-yard touchdown for the Beavers (2-7) with 9:52 left. Jack Stevens' 32-yard field goal attempt for the Cougars (4-5) with 1:05 left went wide right. "We were hungry for it man," Hankerson said. "Everybody in the locker room was hungry. We extremely wanted to win." Caleb Ojeda kicked a 35-yard field for Oregon State with 2:52 left in the opening half.

The Cougars answered with a seven-play, 75-yard drive that ended with Kirby Vorhees' 3-yard touchdown run. "It was a basic chip-shot field goal. We missed it. A lot of things went wrong today, proud of our defense, how they played, they just kept responding, but we can't score seven points and expect to win a game," Washington State coach Jimmy Rogers said. The Beavers had just 185 yards in total offense in the victory but the defense held the Cougars scoreless in the second half. Oregon State intercepted Cougars quarterback Zevi Eckhaus twice and sacked him six times. - Oregon State/AP College Football

North Carolina State Football   Duke Scott saw N.C. State's fans pouring over the walls of the stands, running in from all directions and join the Wolfpack for an on field victory party. "It was awesome," the redshirt freshman said, down to taking pictures with jubilant field-storming fans. And Wolfpack fans had every reason to savor Saturday night's 48-36 win over No. 8 Georgia Tech. It marked the Yellow Jackets' first loss, coming with them driving toward a berth in the Atlantic Coast Conference championship game and a possible trip to the College Football Playoff. And it came with the Wolfpack leaning on multiple players like Scott being pressed into leading roles due to injuries. "Resiliency is what this place is about," Wolfpack coach Dave Doeren said. "It's why I've always loved N.C. State. It's definitely a part of my DNA. "The harder it gets, sometimes I think the better we are." Scott was the star, running for a career-best 196 yards in place of injured league rushing leader Hollywood Smothers (101.3). CJ Bailey threw for 340 yards and two touchdowns while running for another for the Wolfpack (5-4, 2/3 ACC), which rode a crisp offensive showing from the opening possession to the program's first win against a top-10 opponent in more than four years.

Georgia Tech (8-1, 5-1) entered with its first 8-0 start since 1966 and joined No. 15 Virginia as the only teams unbeaten in ACC play. In an unusual twist, N.C. State has beaten both. The Wolfpack handed the Cavaliers their lone loss in September, though that was in a nonconference matchup added outside the league's scheduling model and doesn't count in the ACC standings. N.C. State posted 583 total yards and scored on eight of 10 drives, with six going for TDs. "They lined up and physically kicked our (butt) in a lot of ways," Georgia Tech coach Brent Key said. "It is what it is. That's on me. I take responsibility for it." Haynes King threw for 408 yards and two scores while running for 103 yards and two more touchdowns for Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets had 559 yards but settled for three field goals and also had a missed kick. The game's lone turnover came on the final play, when Caden Fordham intercepted King's desperation throw to the end zone to trigger the Wolfpack's on-field victory party. - NC State/AP College Football

Dye's 10-yard touchdown run stretched the lead to 17-7 midway through the second quarter for Southern Utah (4-5, 3-2 United Athletic Conference), which never trailed. Bronson Barron completed 15 of 23 passes for 184 yards for Southern Utah. Talmage Brown and Braedon Wissler also had touchdown runs for the Thunderbirds, who have won three straight since ending a five-game losing streak. Shane Carr and Gabe Nunez combined for 10 catches and 147 yards receiving.   11/01/25 - RB King Miller, rSo/2029, USC + More +

USC Football   King Miller ran for 129 yards and the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter and No. 23 Southern California overcame its worst passing performance in seven years to beat Nebraska 21-17 on Saturday night. The Trojans (6-2, 4-1 Big Ten) came in with the nation's top passing offense, but Jayden Maiava was just 9 of 23 for 135 yards during Nebraska's first "Blackout" game. The Huskers dressed in all black, as did most of the juiced-up sellout crowd of more than 86,000. "You come to a place like this, against a good football team, and the night kick and crowd riled up, I'd be surprised if they have a better crowd any time this year than that tonight," USC coach Lincoln Riley said. "They were tremendous. And so, yeah, to overcome all that was great. Is it a sign of progress? Of course, it is now." The Cornhuskers (6-3, 3-3) lost quarterback Dylan Raiola to a right ankle injury in the third quarter and dropped their 29th straight game against a ranked opponent. Coach Matt Rhule didn't have an update on Raiola's status after the game.

USC was able to make up for its passing struggles with a run game that churned out 202 yards, with many of them coming on chunk plays. Miller had five of the Trojans' 10 runs of at least 10 yards. "Honestly, we were just getting back to square one, back to the basics, and just executed our basic plays," Miller said. "That's what we came out to do today. Honestly, it wasn't a surprise to us." The Trojans took their first lead early in the fourth. Jayden Maiava threw a 43-yard pass to Jaden Richardson on a flea-flicker and USC was at the Nebraska 6 after DeShon Singleton was called for pass interference. Miller ran in on the next play. The Huskers were pinned at their 4-yard line to start their final possession with 3:27 left. Freshman TJ Lateef, who replaced Raiola, scrambled for a first down. But on fourth-and-1 from his 27, Emmett Johnson slipped after he took a handoff and went down, and the Trojans ran out the clock. Johnson had 165 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries. - USC/AP College Football

Iowa State Football   Jaylen Raynor was 21-of-29 passing for 247 yards and two touchdowns to help Arkansas State beat Troy 23-10 on Saturday night in a matchup between two of the top teams in the Sun Belt Conference. Arkansas State (5-4, 4-1) moved into a second-place tie with Troy, a game behind idle Southern Miss, in the conference's West Division. The Red Wolves 12 tackles for loss, which included nine sacks. Demarcus Hendricks had two sacks and Ethan Hassler had 1 1/2 while Nigel Nelson, Simeon Mitchell, Chris Boti, Cody Sigler and Marcus Bradley added one apiece.

Raynor threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Fortenberry that opened the scoring about 5 1/2 minutes into the game. On the next play from scrimmage the Trojans fumbled the snap and Bryan Whitehead recovered before Raynor's 19-yard touchdown pass to Hunter Summers capped a three-play, 29-yard drive. Clune Van Andel kicked a 30-yard field goal that made it 17-0 with 2:58 left in the first quarter. Tucker Kilcrease was 19-of-34 passing for 166 yards with an interception and added a 1-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter.   Arizona Football   Noah Fifita threw four first-half touchdown passes and the Arizona Wildcats forced five turnovers in rebounding from two closes losses with a 52-17 rout of the Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday night. "This is a huge win coming off two heartbreaking losses," said coach Brent Brennan, whose Wildcats had lost in double-overtime to BYU and by a field goal at Houston. "We're gonna enjoy the plane ride home." The Wildcats (5-3, 2/3 Big 12) raced to a 38-7 halftime lead by scoring on six of their first seven drives, and the Buffaloes (3-6, 1-5) trudged into the locker room with more penalties (nine) than points. For the first time in his three-year tenure in Boulder, Colorado, coach Deion "Prime" Sanders didn't allow any of his players to talk post-game. He said that was because he was solely to blame for the bedraggled Buffs' second straight blowout loss. "Don't attack the coordinators. Come at me. Don't attack the players. Come at me," Sanders said.

Sanders had no answers as to why the Buffs played so poorly again, insisting good practices had given no inkling another rout was forthcoming. He bristled when asked if his team had checked out: "I know a quitter when I see one. I haven't seen that." Sanders added that he's confident he can coach Colorado back into winning ways, saying, "I don't doubt me. Let's get that straight: I. Don't. Doubt. Me." Buffaloes QB Kaidon Salter was benched late in the first half for Ryan Staub, who was also benched after both of his passes were intercepted in the third quarter. Freshman Ju-Ju Lewis came on and threw a 59-yard touchdown strike - the first of his career - to Omarion Miller. The pass also was 10 yards longer than the 49 yards passing that Salter managed while completing 11 of 15. Lewis left the game in the final minute with an injury to his throwing hand. Colorado's two most damaging first-half flags wiped out a 75-yard touchdown catch and an interception. - Arizona/AP College Football

Mississippi Football   Mississippi sacked LaNorris Sellers six times and the No. 7 Rebels held off upset-minded South Carolina 30-14 on Saturday night. Ole Miss, third in the SEC and ninth nationally in total offense, looked rather pedestrian as Trinidad Chambliss completed just 12 of 21 passes with a touchdown and an interception. He threw an 8-yard TD pass to Dae'Quan Wright and scored on a 15-yard run, but the Rebels (8-1, 5-1 SEC) were forced to settle for short field goals on other possessions when they could've taken control. Suntarine Perkins and Da'Shawn Womack sacked Sellers twice in three plays after the Gamecocks (3-6, 1-6), trailing by nine, reached the Ole Miss 33 with a little more than seven minutes left.

On the first play after the turnover on downs, Kewan Lacy scored on a 54-yard run to put the game out of reach for Ole Miss. "To go to 8-1, the only loss at Georgia, and we were ahead by two scores and should have finished," Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin said. "I didn't feel great about our passing performance, but I've got to remind myself that we're in the SEC and 16-point wins are good. They've got some really elite (SEC) players, especially on defense." The Rebels also intercepted Sellers twice in the last 5:27. Perkins had 1½ sacks and an interception with 5:21 remaining. While Chambliss was erratic, the long touchdown run was an exclamation point for Lacy, who finished with 167 yards including 101 yards in the first half. - Mississippi/AP College Football

Syracuse Football   Ahmad Miller ran for 165 yards and two touchdowns and Donerio Davenport totaled 112 yards rushing with a touchdown and Jackson State used the second half to throttle Florida A&M 41-16 on Saturday. The Tigers (6-2, 4-1 Southwestern Athletic Conference), ranked No. 20 in the FCS coaches poll, scored 31 second-half points after going to halftime ahead 10-3. Jared Lockhart, who threw for 104 yards, had a 42-yard touchdown pass to Nate Rembert about two-and-a-half minutes into the second half. Davenport then ran it in from the 6 following a FAMU fumble on the kickoff following Rembert's score. The Rattlers (3-5, 2-2) got their first touchdown when RJ Johnson III completed a 5-yard scoring pass to Jamal Hailey to end an 11-play, 75-yard drive that last five minutes.   Michigan Football   No. 21 Michigan is very fortunate it has a pair of standout running backs. Jordan Marshall, filling in for injured Justice Haynes, had career highs with 185 yards rushing and three touchdowns to help the Wolverines hold off Purdue for a 21-16 win Saturday night. "Sloppy win," Marshall said. "We're a way better team than that." Michigan (7-2, 5-1 Big Ten) was in a closely contested game against a team without a conference win because Bryce Underwood struggled and the Boilermakers (2-7, 0-6) were able to move and possess the ball. "We're in a position to do everything we wanted to accomplish," coach Sherrone Moore said. Purdue pulled within four points early in the third quarter on Spencer Porath's career-best 50-yard field goal and cut its deficit to five points with six minutes left on Ryan Browne's 5-yard pass to Malachi Thomas.

The Wolverines sealed the win on the final drive, advancing inside the Boilermakers 10 before kneeling to run out the clock. "We knew it was going to be a battle," Marshall said. "They have nothing to lose." Underwood was 13 of 22 for 145 yards with an interception. He ran seven times for 44 yards, but fumbled from Purdue's 4 and into the end zone for a touchback in the third quarter. "We're going to do a lot of self-reflection to see what we can do better," Underwood said. Marshall's second touchdown broke a tie with 17 seconds left in the first half and his third gave Michigan a 21-10 lead early in the fourth. The Boilermakers will likely lament missed opportunities. They advanced to the Michigan 33 and 22 on their first two drives, but Derrick Moore's sacks kept them scoreless. On the first play of the fourth quarter, Purdue coach Barry Odom went for it on fourth-and-2 from their 49 and quarterback Malachi Singleton was stopped short on a run. "I was here to win the game," Odom said. "I thought we needed to find a way to get points out of that possession. We didn't. We came up a couple inches short. Absolutely no regret on the play call." - AP College Football
