Rutgers Football   Antwan Raymond rushed for a career-high 240 yards and Athan Kaliakmanis passed for four touchdowns to keep Rutgers' post-season hopes alive in a 35-20 win over Maryland on Saturday. Raymond's 240 yards are the most in the Big Ten this season and the third highest in the country this season behind Cameron Dickey of Texas Tech and Ahmad Hardy of Missouri. The sophomore ran for a TD and carried the ball 41 times for a 5.9-yard average. It's the third highest yards gained in Rutgers' program history. Ray Rice holds the top two rushing marks for the school.

Raymond, who has taken over the bulk of the carries for Rutgers since Kyle Monangai graduated and was drafted by the Chicago Bears in this years' NFL draft, now has 1,000 yards for the season. Raymond's 41 carries are tied with Savon Huggins and Jawan Jamison for the most in Scarlet Knights' history. It's the first time in school history that Rutgers (5-5, 2-5 Big Ten) has had consecutive 1,000-yard rushers in a season. Monangai ran for 1,279 yards in 2024. "It's definitely a special, special moment for sure," said Raymond. "All the work that we put in, not just me, but the coaches, all the other running backs, all the work we put in." "I'm not surprised about anything that's going my way, because I know I work so hard for this," he said. "I put my whole life into this. I come from really far away (Quebec, Canada). I left my family, so I think that I've done a lot of sacrifices to be here." Raymond set the tone by running the ball six straight times up the middle for 30 yards in the Scarlet Knights' first possession. "Every game, we anticipated really wanting to run the football," said Rutgers coach Greg Schiano. "But to say that I anticipated 41 carries; that would not be true." Maryland (4-5, 1-5) has lost five straight. - Rutgers/AP College Football

Connecticut Football   The hard lessons from earlier in the 2025 season set the stage for the most memorable win for the UConn football team. Three losses by a total of 13 points stood between the Huskies and an undefeated record heading into Saturday's clash with ACC title-contending Duke at Rentschler Field. A touchdown in the final two minutes and a game-clinching fumble recovery lifted UConn to a 37-34 win over Duke in front of the Huskies' largest home crowd since 2013. "It is the culmination of the lessons we learned this year from the close games that we have had. I think it is a testament to the will of our young men, the trust that they have in each other," UConn coach Jim Mora said. "They could easily have played that game and said enough is enough, especially late in the fourth quarter. I think if we hadn't had the failures we had in the two-minute drives earlier in the year, maybe we would have had the success we had tonight." UConn quarterback Joe Fagnano was 6 for 7 on the drive that ended with a 19-yard touchdown pass to Skyler Bell with 1:58 left. After a review, Fagnano's two-point conversion run was good to put the Huskies up 37-34.

Duke was driving to try to force overtime, but UConn's Bryun Parham stripped Duke quarterback Darian Mensah of the ball and Trent Jones recovered to secure UConn's second win over an ACC team this season. "I just knew I had to make it and just do my job," Parham said. "I had to make the play. It was surreal. I've always wanted to make a play like that." Duke scored on its first two drives in the second half. Nate Sheppard had a 3-yard scoring run. The Blue Devils took the lead as Mensah rolled out and found Landen King in the corner of the end zone on fourth-and-goal from the 1. UConn converted on a fake punt to set up a 3-yard scoring run by Cam Edwards with 10:48 remaining to put UConn ahead 29-28. Fagnano threw for 311 yards and three touchdowns for UConn (7-3). Bell finished with 11 catches for 87 yards and two scores, and Reymello Murphy added 110 yards receiving. Bell's biggest celebration came when the defense made its biggest play of the 2025 season. "I was jumping for joy, I almost had a cramp," said Bell, who went over 1,000 yards receiving early in the game and set the program record for touchdown catches in a season. "I was jumping (like) crazy. The defense came up big." - UConn/AP College Football

Oregon Football   Atticus Sappington kicked a 39-yard field goal with 3 seconds left, and No. 6 Oregon escaped with an 18-16 win over Iowa on a rainy Saturday. Dante Moore led a 10-play, 54-yard drive to set up Sappington's third field goal of the game, connecting with Malik Benson for a 24-yard gain to get the Ducks (8-1, 5-1 Big Ten, No. 9 CFP) into range for the winning kick. "That moment was made for me," Sappington said. "I truly believe that." It was the third field goal of the game for Sappington on the slick field. He kicked a 46-yarder at the end of the first half that gave Oregon a 12-7 halftime lead, and a 44-yarder late in the third quarter that increased the Ducks' lead to 15-7. "When you have two pretty big-time field goals to change the game early on, obviously your confidence is high," Sappington said.

"For me, it was just like, focus on the kick. Breathe." Running back Noah Whittington said he was praying before Sappington's kick and said he wasn't sure if he wanted to look at the play until Moore told him to watch. "When Te told me that, I thought, "Why wouldn't I watch?" Whittington said. "I've seen him make those kinds of kicks all of the time." "I was just proud of the way we handled the moment," Oregon coach Dan Lanning said. "I had guys coming up to me during the game saying, "Coach, breathe." That was what I had been telling them all week. And for them to be able to come up and say the same thing to me, it just tells you they believed in what we were doing." Iowa quarterback Mark Gronowski's 3-yard touchdown run capped a 12-play, 93-yard march that gave the Hawkeyes (6-3, 4-2, No. 20 CFP) their first lead, 16-15 with 1:51 to play. Iowa went for 2, but Gronowski's conversion pass was incomplete. Moore completed five passes for 47 yards during the winning drive on what was otherwise a challenging day for the Ducks' offense. He finished with just 112 yards passing and one interception. Whittington had 118 rushing yards for the Ducks, who extended their road winning streak to 11 games, the longest in the FBS. Oregon had 261 rushing yards against an Iowa defense that ranked 10th nationally, giving up 83.9 yards per game. "We went into the game knowing we could win in the trenches," Whittington said. "All week, we said we could run in the trenches. And we ran in the trenches." - Oregon/AP College Football

Oregon State Football   Braden Atkinson threw three touchdown passes, CJ Miller ran for three scores, and Mercer defeated Western Carolina 49-47 on Saturday in a shootout to win the Southern Conference title. Mercer clinched the SoCon's automatic bid into the FCS playoffs. Reice Griffith's 37-yard field goal gave the Bears their 49-47 lead with 1:30 remaining before Taron Dickens drove the Catamounts to the 15-yard line with 3 seconds left. Marcus Trout then missed a 33-yard field-goal attempt on the final play.

Dickens threw seven touchdown passes, including three in the fourth quarter when the Catamounts twice rallied from a 12-point deficit. They took a 47-46 lead on his final TD pass, a 42-yarder to James Tyre, but they failed on a 2-point attempt that would have given them a three-point lead. Dickens completed 33 of 49 passes for 551 yards. Malik Knight had 141 yards receiving, scoring twice for the Bears (8-1, 7-0), who are tied for 10th in the FCS coaches poll. Atkinson was 23-for-39 passing for 443 yards. Adjatay Dabbs had 147 receiving yards and Miller ran for 91 yards for the Catamounts (6-4, 5-1), 24th in the FCS poll. Western Carolina had the edge in total yards, 599-568. Dickens, a sophomore, had a career-high of 528 yards with six TD passes against Samford earlier this season. - AP College Football

Arizona Football   Quincy Craig scored his second touchdown of the game on a 24-yard run with 39 seconds left in regulation and Arizona rallied to beat Kansas 24-20 on Saturday. Coming off a blowout win over Colorado, the Wildcats (6-3, 3-3 Big 12) had a hard time moving the ball against a defense that entered the game ranked 12th in the Big 12. Noah Fifita threw an early touchdown pass, but was sacked five times and nearly had three passes intercepted before rallying Arizona to become bowl eligible. "We knew it was going to be an incredible battle and our players kept responding," Arizona coach Brent Brennan said. "They kept responding and responding...I know it wasn't perfect, but we'll fix that." After Kansas' Laith Marjan pushed a 30-yard field goal wide right - his first miss in 15 attempts this season - the Wildcats took over at their own 20 with 2:39 left. Arizona moved quickly down the field and Craig burst through a big hole up the middle for the go-ahead score. "That was definitely one of my favorite touchdowns I've experienced," said Craig, who had 47 yards rushing on three carries. The Jayhawks (5-5, 3-4) controlled Arizona's offense for most of the game, holding the Wildcats to 323 total yards - nearly 100 yards below their season average. They also held Fifita to 158 yards and two touchdowns on 16-of-31 passing.

Kansas quarterback Jalon Daniels threw for 199 yards and a touchdown, adding 74 yards and another score rushing. His desperation attempt bounded out of the end zone as time expired. "We were able to throw a very accurate quarterback really out of rhythm there for a while," Kansas coach Lance Leipold said. "But they made the plays down the stretch." Fifita showed off his dual-threat skill set on Arizona's second drive, breaking off a 19-yard run - his longest of the season - and floating a 16-yard touchdown pass to tight end Sam Olson just as he got hit. Daniels took his two-way turn on the Jayhawks' next two drives. He scored on a 1-yard keeper set up by a 14-yard run, then hit Emmanuel Henderson Jr. in stride for a 24-yard touchdown. Kansas appeared to be headed to a 24-7 halftime lead when Leroy Harris III returned an interception 77 yards for a touchdown. Instead, it came back when cornerback Jalen Todd was called for holding away from the play. Craig scored on an 8-yard touchdown two plays later by reaching the ball to the pylon, pulling Arizona within 17-14 at halftime. The defenses took over in the second half. - Arizona/AP College Football

Miami Football   Quarterback Carson Beck caught a touchdown pass. Offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa turned a backward pass into a rushing score. And Miami went deep into the depth chart to overcome some injuries. The first step of getting back into the College Football Playoff chase is complete for the Hurricanes. Beck eclipsed the 10,000-yard passing mark for his college career, Miami's defense recorded six sacks and the 18th-ranked Hurricanes used some tricks to roll to a 38-10 win over Syracuse on Saturday. "When Miami's on, Miami really distinguishes itself as one of the better teams," Hurricanes coach Mario Cristobal said. The Hurricanes weren't on through their first four drives. After that, they rolled.

Mauigoa's catch of a backward pass finished off what went into the books as a 3-yard rushing touchdown - "it's a play we've been practicing for two, three years now," Mauigoa said after his first touchdown since he was a little kid playing in American Samoa - while Keionte Scott had an interception return touchdown for the Hurricanes (7-2, 3-2 Atlantic Coast Conference). Keelan Marion had 116 receiving yards and Girard Pringle Jr. had a touchdown run for Miami. The Hurricanes punted on each of their first four drives - then scored on each of their next four possessions, with the exception of a kneel-down to end the first half. Miami had no points on its first 22 plays, 24 points on its next 22. "We had lot of self-inflicted wounds," Syracuse coach Fran Brown said. "I think they're a really good football team." Elijah Washington-Baker had a 17-yard touchdown catch with 21 seconds left and Rickie Collins completed 12 of 25 passes for 85 yards for Syracuse (3-7, 1-6), which gave up six sacks and has dropped six straight. It's the longest losing streak for the Orange since an eight-game slide in 2020. Beck finished 18 of 24 passing for 247 yards and a score. He opened the scoring with a 14-yard touchdown catch on a pass from receiver Malachi Toney with 2:13 left in the first half, and the Hurricanes were very different from there. - Miami/AP College Football
