  Middle Tennessee Football   WEEK 12 CONFERENCE USA FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK: Roman Gagliano, MTSU - R-Fr. - QB - Opelika, Ala.,...Gagliano got his first collegiate start against WKU and responded in resounding fashion. He accounted for 471 yards of total offense to equal the second most in a game in school history. He amassed 383 passing yards on 25-42 passing with two touchdowns and no interceptions, while rushing for 88 yards on the ground. His 383 yards through the air was the most by a Blue Raider QB in his first career start (breaking previous mark of 379 yards by Chase Cunningham in 2021) and the most ever by a freshman at MTSU. - Conference USA Football

He nailed 4-5 field goal tries, hitting each of his first four - including a pair of 48-yarders - to give Kats points when they needed them most. He hit a 33-yarder on the last play of the first half and then three more in the second half to finish one made kick short of the program record. His first came in the second quarter with the Owls threatening as Nix intercepted a pass at his own 10-yard line and returned it 26 yards. It marked the fourth consecutive game with a takeaway for the redshirt junior and third consecutive game with an interception. It marked the second-longest pick six in program history and the first of 70 or more yards by a Gamecock since 2017. He also helped out on a tackle for loss and made five total stops on the day.   Florida International Football   WEEK 11 CONFERENCE USA OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Joe Pesansky, FIU - R-Sr. - QB - Tampa, Fla.,...Pesansky accounted for five touchdowns (four passing, one rushing) in FIU's 56-30 road win over MTSU, the first road win over the Blue Raiders since 2011. He became the first in program history to total five touchdowns and matched a school record with four passing touchdowns in his first start for the Panthers (4-5, 2-3 CUSA). Pesansky finished 17-28 for 257 yards through the air and added 12 yards per game. In the third quarter, he completed 8-12 passes for 116 yards and two of his four touchdowns. Chenault and Co. turned in a clean sheet for the Owls, not surrendering a single sack all game, while also helping KSU roll up 208 rushing yards and 427 yards of offense for the game. In the process, Clark tied the Missouri State record for touchdown passes with the game-winning, seven-yard strike to Ronnel Johnson in overtime for the 47th scoring pass of his career.   Kennesaw State Football   WEEK 9 CONFERENCE USA OFFENSIVE LINEMAN OF THE WEEK: JaDarious Lee, Kennesaw St. - R-Jr. - LT - Nashville, Tenn.,...In 60 snaps at left tackle, Lee did not surrender a single sack, QB hit, hurry or pressure and paved the way for the Owls (5-2, 3-0 CUSA) to win its fifth-straight game, dismantling FIU on the road, 45-26. He helped KSU roll up 498 yards of total offense, including a season-best 225 yards of rushing - CUSA's highest rushing mark for week nine. The Owls averaged 5.2 yards per rush and did not have a negative rush between the tackles the entire game, excluding kneel downs. KSU scored its most points against an FBS opponent (45) in program history.
