  Central Michigan Football   WEEK 12 MAC CO-DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Michael Heldman, Central Michigan, Defensive Lineman, Senior, Romeo, Mich. (Romeo H.S.),...In Central Michigan's 38-19 victory over Buffalo, defensive lineman Michael Heldman had a monster game with four tackles (2 sacks for 11 yards, 2 TFL's), two pass breakups and two quarterback hurries. He registered his third pass breakup of the season in the first quarter when he tipped a pass which landed in the arms of Jordan Kwiatkowski, who returned it 48 yards for a touchdown and 7-3 lead. Heldman was disruptive all night long and played a role in virtually every big play for CMU's defense, which recorded a season-high five turnovers (three fumble recoveries/two interceptions). - MAC Football

  Kent State Football   WEEK 12 MAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Dru DeShields, Kent State, Quarterback, R-Sophomore, Beloit, OH (West Branch),...Dru DeShields had a career game, throwing for a career-high 317 yards and five touchdowns in Kent State's 42-35 overtime win at Akron. DeShields' five touchdown passes were the most by a Golden Flashes quarterback since Josh Cribbs at UCF in 2004. DeShields completed 17 of 25 passes (68%) with zero interceptions, finding five different receivers for touchdowns. DeShields found Da'Realyst Clark on an 89-yard touchdown in the second quarter, giving the Flashes a 14-10 lead. After trailing 17-14 at halftime, DeShields would find Cade Wolford for 43 yards, Terik Mulder for 7 yards, and Da'Shawn Martin for 27 yards all in the third quarter to give the Flashes a 35-17 lead after three. After Akron came back to tie the game, DeShields would connect with Ardell Banks for the game-winning 25-yard touchdown on the first play of overtime. - MAC Football

  Ohio Football   WEEK 11 MAC CO-SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Sieh Bangura, Ohio, KR, R-Sr., Bowie, Md. (DeMatha Catholic),...Early in the fourth quarter of Ohio's Nov. 4 matchup against rival Miami (Ohio), Bangura sent Frank Solich at Peden Stadium into a frenzy with Ohio's first kick return touchdown since Nov. 6, 2024. In his first game as the kick returner, Bangura rushed up the middle of the field for 97 yards for the score, giving the Bobcats a 17-13 edge over the RedHawks. A force to be reckoned with, this marked Bangura's second time scoring in the 2025 Battle of the Bricks, logging a 22-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter. By the game's end, Bangura had a game-leading 229 all-purpose yards. - MAC Football

  Akron Football   WEEK 11 MAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Gage Summers, Akron, LB, Sr. (R), Chandler, Ariz. (ALA-Queen Creek),...For the second week in a row, Gage Summers collected two turnovers for the Zips defense, recording two fumble recoveries and taking one of them 25 yards for a defensive touchdown. His defensive touchdown marked the first of his career, while also registering his first career fumble recovery. The Akron defense limited the UMass offense to 169 total yards, keeping UMass under 100 yards on both the ground and through the air. The Zips allowed only 92 passing and 77 rushing yards. This was the first time since September 12, 2009, that the Zips kept an opponent under 200 total yards (Morgan State, 127 yrds). - MAC Football

(Plant),...Tucker Gleason completed 25-of-31 passes for a season-high 309 yards and two touchdowns, and ran for another score, in Toledo's 42-3 victory over NIU. It is the sixth game this season he has thrown for at least 200 yards and the fifth time in his career that he has eclipsed the 300-yard mark. Gleason passed two career milestones, competing the 50th and 51st touchdown passes of his career. He also became ninth Rocket QB to pass the 6,000-yard mark for passing yards, ending the evening with 6,174 yards, passing Kevin Meger (6,023 from 1989-92) for eighth place all-time. - MAC Football

  Western Michigan Football   WEEK 10 MAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Broc Lowry, Western Michigan, Quarterback, RS Sophomore, Canfield, Ohio (Canfield),...Broc Lowry engineered a fourth quarter comeback to down Central Michigan 24-21. WMU faced a fourth and five at the CMU seven yard line and Lowry fired a pass to Tailique Williams in the corner of the endzone to give the Broncos its first and only lead of the game with just over two minutes to play. Lowry ended up with 150 yards passing and one touchdown, while also running for 82 yards and a touchdown. With Lowry leading the offense, the Broncos scored the final 10 points of the game. His rushing touchdown tied the game up at 14-14 midway through the third quarter. It was his eighth touchdown of the season, the first Bronco QB to reach eight since 1977. - MAC Football

The graduate student set multiple single-game highs, including completions (23), completion percentage (82.1) and passing yards (315). Notably, this matchup marked Navarro's first game passing for over 300 yards. Clark eclipsed 300+ passing yards for the 10th time in his career and matched a Bears career record with his 19th career 200+ yard passing game. He posted the highest pass blocking grade (77.0) among WKU's offensive linemen with no sacks allowed over 79 snaps at left tackle. The Hilltoppers (8-2, 6-1 CUSA) tallied 371 yards and three touchdowns through the air. The fifth-year senior also had the highest run blocking grade among WKU's starting offensive linemen.
