2019 PAC-12 MORRIS TROPHY WINNER: Utah defensive end Bradlee Anae has been named the winner of the 40th annual Morris Trophy, given annually to the most outstanding offensive and defensive linemen in the Pac-12 Conference. What makes the award unique is the selection procedure, in which the league's starting offensive linemen vote for the defensive winner and vice versa. It is truly a players' award. Anae is Utah's fourth recipient of the award and third defensive selection. Defensive linemen Star Lotulelei (2011) and Nate Orchard (2014) and offensive lineman Isaac Asiata (2016) have previously won the award.

Anae, who is a finalist for the Ted Hendricks Award, is a semifinalist for the Lombardi Award and also earned semifinalist honors from the Bednarik Award, has 12.5 sacks and 13.5 tackles for loss. He has 35 tackles, a forced fumble and a pass breakup. A 2018 first-team All-Pac-12 selection, Anae's 29.5 career sacks is tied for the school record and ranked fourth among active FBS players. He is also fourth all-time in school history with 41.0 tackles for loss. - Utah Football
