2019 FIRST TEAM ALL-CIAA (COACHES): Kick Returner Zion Riddick, Elizabeth City State,...Riddick has had a phenomenal year, amassing a total of 944 return yards for the special teams unit. That is 500 more yards than any special teams returner in the conference Zion is 56 yards away from reaching the 1,000-yard milestone on this season. "Zion Riddick, who I often refer to as "Little Bit" because of his lack of size but not due to his lack of heart and desire to compete. I tired to give the name to someone else but he said Coach I'm the only Little Bit and of course he was right and he has earned it and the respect of all his teammates and Coaches because of his efforts," shared Head Coach Anthony Jones. "I always knew he could run but when it comes to him returning kickoff's he is fearless and once he gets the ball the excitement begins. The entire team gets excited when he touches the ball because we all feel he can break it or provide us with a boost at any time. The Vikings are glad to have him on our side."

The sophomore has been the key to the Vikings special teams unit and an all-around athlete. The Ahoskie, N.C. native opened up the season with a 200-yard performance against Division I opponent Hampton University in the Battle of the Border in Hampton, VA. "I've always felt like I had to prove myself being smaller," shared Riddick. "I've showed that I can play at the highest level playing against big-time opponents." - Elizabeth City State Football
