  OCT 14 PSAC EASTERN DIVISION DEFENSIVE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Shawn Turber-Ortiz, Kutztown (Jr./S), Northumberland, Pa./Shikellamy,...Turber-Ortiz continued his career year with a team-leading 11 tackles, a fumble recovery and his team-leading fourth interception of the year in the Golden Bears' 35-13 victory over previously unbeaten East Stroudsburg on Saturday.

Turber-Ortiz has recorded double-digit tackles in four of Kutztown's six games this season. He leads the PSAC in solo tackles with 7.3 per game and total tackles with 11.0 per game. Those numbers rank second and 14th nationally in DII. With East Stroudsburg driving and looking to mount a comeback, Turber-Ortiz intercepted Jake Cirillo in the end zone on East Stroudsburg's opening drive of the fourth quarter. - Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Football
