OCT 14 BIG SOUTH FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK: Gardner-Webb wide receiver Devron Harper (Conyers, Ga.) caught four passes for 187 yards and a touchdown, and totaled 206 all-purpose yards in the Runnin' Bulldogs' victory over Hampton. Harper scored on a 70-yard catch-and-run with 10:44 left in the second quarter to move GWU ahead, 21-17. Late in the third quarter, he converted a 90-yard pass play to the Pirates' three-yard line to set-up Gardner-Webb's go-ahead score. It was the longest non-touchdown catch in Big South history, and second-longest overall. Also nominated for Freshman of the Week: DeAndre Clifton (Monmouth). - Big South Football
