10/26 WEEK 8 SEC CO-DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Oklahoma's Owen Heinecke, a sixth-year linebacker from Tulsa, Okla., had a game-high-tying 10 tackles (seven solo), including a sack and 2.0 tackles for loss, and forced a fumble deep in Oklahoma territory in the Sooners' 23-15 win at Mississippi State. Heinecke forced the fumble at the OU 4-yard line in the second quarter, and teammate Taylor Wein recovered it. The Sooners turned the takeaway into a 96-yard touchdown drive and a 10-0 halftime lead. It was Heinecke's first double-digit tackle game of the season and the third of his career, and he became the first Sooner this season with at least 10 tackles in a game. He has led or tied for the team lead in tackles in six of seven games this season. Heinecke leads Oklahoma with 6.5 tackles for loss and four quarterback hurries this season and has 2.0 sacks. All 18.5 of his career tackles for loss and 5.0 career sacks have come in the last two seasons. - SEC Football
