10/12 WEEK 6 SEC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Oklahoma's Peyton Bowen, a senior safety from Corinth, Texas, recorded a season-high seven tackles (six solo) and returned an interception 42 yards for a touchdown to give the Sooners a 24-17 fourth-quarter lead in an eventual 27-24 win over No. 1/1 Texas at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. The pick-six gave Oklahoma its first lead of the game after trailing 17-7 at halftime. Bowen picked off the pass at the back of the defense and weaved through the field, breaking through tacklers near the goal line to reach the end zone. It was the third interception of his career, all in the last two seasons, and his first returned for a touchdown; he has 79 return yards on two of those picks (the other came in the end zone). The win was Oklahoma's first over a No. 1-ranked team since 2007, its first over a No. 1-ranked opponent while unranked in the AP poll and its first ever over Texas with the Longhorns ranked No. 1 in the AP poll. - SEC Football
