WEEK 8 MISSOURI VALLEY OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: QB Beau Brungard, Youngstown State, 6-0, 215, Jr., New Middletown, Ohio,...Brungard had another record-setting performance in a 40-35 come-from-behind win at Illinois State on Saturday. Brungard threw for a career-high 328 yards by completing 23-of-34 passes while rushing for 200 yards on a career-best 30 carries against the Redbirds. He accounted for five touchdowns and a school record 528 yards of total offense in the win. While no FCS comparisons of his 300-200-yard performance are readily available, he joins Jayden Daniels (LSU), Malik Cunningham (Louisville) and Marques Tuiasosopo (Washington) as Division I players to accomplish the feat in a single game in college football history. He scored on rushes of 48, two and one yards while throwing for scores of 53 and 36 in the game. It's his second 200-plus yard rushing performance of the season. His 528 yards rank fourth in MVFC history. - Missouri Valley Football
