  WEEK 8 OVC-BIG SOUTH CO-DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Micah Gay, LB, 6-1, 213, R-Jr., Atlanta, Ga., Tennessee State,...Gay was the key contributor on a defensive unit that held Howard to just 183 total yards (3.1 per play) as Tennessee State scored a 24-7 Homecoming victory to snap a five-game losing streak. The junior had a game-high 11 tackles (4 solo), added a quarterback hurry and made two interceptions. His first interception came in the second quarter and setup a TSU touchdown as the Tigers took a 14-7 lead into halftime. His second interception of the day came in the fourth quarter, helping the Big Blue maintain its lead.
