Quarterback Emory Jones was announced on Coach Satterfield's first signing day. During Arizona State's difficult 3-9 season he was in eight games and threw for seven touchdowns. He had games of 261 yards vs. Utah, 243 vs. USC and 227 vs. Stanford. He was 7-for-9 for 59 yards when the Sun Devils upset then-top-25 Washington State.

The 6-foot-2, 211-pound signal caller was with Florida for four years and started in 2021 throwing for 2,734 yards and 19 touchdowns while running for 758 yards. "Emory is the guy who's played in the SEC," Satterfield said on signing day. "He's won big games in the SEC. I do think he's got a tremendous upside. He's got a lot of talent. He's got a really good arm and he can run as well. So it kind of fits what we want with that. I also believe it's important to be able to land a quarterback of his caliber at this stage to be able to help us in the wide receiver room." - Cincinnati Enquirer
