Half of the duo is accounted for. South Carolina has been waiting since the Gator Bowl ended to see if two vital pieces of this season's offense, quarterback Spencer Rattler and receiver Juice Wells, will return for 2023 or head to the NFL. On Monday, 50 percent of the question was answered. "Run it back," captioned a video that Wells posted on social media on Monday evening, featuring a hand holding an empty cup that was soon filled with juice. There isn't yet any word from Rattler, who still has a week until the NFL's deadline for early entrants arrives. Rattler and Wells attended the first team meeting of the spring semester on Sunday night.

Wells, a transfer from James Madison, was brought in during the offseason as a hopeful upgrade to what was already an experienced receiver corps. He figured to add depth to a spot that returned 2021 leader Josh Vann, plus Dakereon Joyner, Ahmarean Brown, Xavier Legette and a sheaf of tight ends, including Jaheim Bell. Instead, Wells broke loose for 68 catches and 928 yards, each the second-best total in the SEC behind Biletnikoff Award winner Jalin Hyatt of Tennessee. Wells also scored seven touchdowns. - The Post and Courier
