Ole Miss running back Zach Evans will declare for the 2023 NFL Draft, he announced on Twitter Friday. Evans, who transferred to Ole Miss from TCU last offseason, will forfeit his remaining two seasons of eligibility. Alongside Quinshon Judkins, Evans formed one half of the best rushing attack in the SEC. Ole Miss averaged 256.6 yards per game in the 2022 season, 20 more than second-placed Arkansas.

A former five-star prospect, Evans averaged 6.5 yards per carry for the Rebels, rushing 144 times for 936 yards and nine touchdowns. He also caught 12 passes for 119 yards and another TD. His best game of the season came in a loss to Arkansas in November, when he carried the ball 17 times for 207 yards and a touchdown. - The Clarion Ledger
