University of Houston left tackle Patrick Paul, a first-team All-American Athletic Conference selection the past two seasons, plans to come back for another season. "I will be a redshirt junior next year, and I am returning," Paul told the Houston Chronicle following Tuesday's practice in Shreveport, La., in advance of the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl. Paul's decision to return is important for the offensive line as the Cougars make the move to the Big 12 next season. At 6-7 and 310 pounds, Paul has been the anchor of the offensive line with 26 consecutive starts the past two seasons. "Definitely there's always stuff to improve on," Paul said of the decision to return for a fifth season rather than explore the NFL draft. "I don't even think I've scratched the surface yet." Paul said he discussed his future with family, including older brother Chris, a rookie offensive lineman with the Washington Commanders. - Houston Chronicle
