  NOV 21 BIG SOUTH FOOTBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Gardner-Webb linebacker William McRainey (Shallotte, N.C.) had 10 tackles (six solo), 1.5 tackles for loss, and forced (and recovered) a fumble in helping GWU to win the conference championship. He helped limit the Aggies to just 87 yards rushing on 22 attempts, with 32 yards in losses after team sacks and TFL. McRainey and the defense limited A&T to 4-of-12 on third downs and no sustained touchdown drives (75 yards or more and three minutes-plus). Also nominated for Defensive Player of the Week: Ryan Saddler (Bryant) and CJ Tillman (Campbell). - Big South Football
