Ask Jordan Travis where he's improved the most since last season and the Florida State quarterback will tell you it's all about confidence. It's that belief in himself that's helped the redshirt junior earn the trust of his teammates and coaches as Travis prepares to be the Seminoles starter. It's a long time coming for the West Palm Beach product, who split time with McKenzie Milton as injuries limited him to eight starts last season. "It's 100% different. I'm more confident in whatever I do out there," Travis said. "I can put the ball up. I have great running backs and a [offensive] line that can block for me. I feel great."

Coach Mike Norvell credited Travis' development throughout preseason camp, noting that he completed more than 70% of his passes during a limited role in Saturday's second scrimmage. "He wasn't out there very long, but he made some good choices," said Norvell. "He ended up getting three series and moved the ball positively." Travis worked tirelessly with his receivers in the offseason in player-led practices and summer workouts. The additional work hasn't gone unnoticed and is paying dividends. "I've grown a lot," he said. "I'm making throws that I've never made before, but there is still a lot of room for improvement. I'm throwing every single day, pushing and watching lots of film. I will keep growing and my teammates have helped me a lot with that, giving me the confidence I need. The coaches have given me the confidence that I need." - Orlando Sentinel
