The UAB football team wrapped up its fourth practice of fall camp Thursday, ahead of its season opener against Alabama A&M, Thursday, Sept. 1, at Protective Stadium in Birmingham. Despite a few big plays from the offense, UAB's defense is still performing strongly in fall camp. Senior safety Will Boler is having a great camp and redefining his leadership skills as the elder statesman of the defense. He's played in 49 career games, one less than punter Kyle Greenwell, and is the most experienced defensive back in the secondary. - Birmingham Post
