  The University of Akron football team was selected to finish last in the Mid-American Conference's East Division by the media, the league announced Tuesday. Kent State was chosen to finish second in the division behind the No. 1 Miami University. The media chose Northern Illinois to finish first in the West Division and Toledo was picked as the runner-up. Media predicted the Huskies would win the MAC Championship.
