  Expectations remain high for Ohio State football heading into the 2022 season. As fall camp looms for the Buckeyes, ESPN is raising expectations even higher. ESPN's College Football Power Index gives the Buckeyes a 32.1% chance to win out the 2022 season, the highest percentage of any team in college football. The Buckeyes' chances are 11.2% higher than second-place Georgia.

Ohio State is the only team in the Big Ten with more than a 2% chance of finishing the 2022 season undefeated, with Michigan coming in at 1.7% with 9.5 projected wins, while Michigan State and Penn State each have a 0.1% chance of finishing undefeated, coming in with eight projected wins each. The Buckeyes also have more than a 82.9% chance of beating each team on is regular-season schedule, with the lowest percentage coming on the road against the Nittany Lions Oct. 29. Per ESPN's football power index, Ohio State has an 84.8% chance of beating Michigan at home Nov. 26, higher than the Buckeyes' home matchup against Notre Dame and road matchups against the Penn State and Michigan State. - Columbus Dispatch
