2022 PRESEASON DOAK WALKER AWARD CANDIDATE: Bijan Robinson (Jr.), Texas,...Former NFL Draft Scout analyst Dane Brugler, now with The Athletic, rates Bijan Robinson (6-0, 220) as the best running back prospect in the 2023 draft and says he would have been the top back picked in 2022. Says Brugler: "He established himself as one of the best backs in the country from day one, averaging 8.2 yards as a true freshman (2020)...finishing with 1,127 rushing yards last year as a sophomore...Robinson is a special back for several reasons - most of all, his ability to force missed tackles due to his unique mix of elusiveness and power. He is a one-cut maestro with the twitchy reflexes in his lower body to start-stop in a blink and leave broken tackles all over the field. Robinson's burst allows him to accelerate rapidly, and he runs with the physicality to keep his balance through contact…. Robinson is at his best on zone-stretch and outside runs, where his field vision and cutback burst helps him create. Robinson shows dynamic skills as a pass catcher, both out of the backfield and lined up in the slot.
