UW must replace standout inside linebackers Leo Chenal and Jack Sanborn, who combined for 13 sacks, 33½ tackles for loss and 205 total tackles last season. No one among the eight inside linebackers who participated in spring ball has started a college game. When UW concluded spring practice in April, the No. 1 pairing was Tatum Grass, a former walk-on from Stoughton, and Jordan Turner. Grass finished last season with nine tackles. Turner had six, including four in the Las Vega Bowl, plus two interceptions. "I think we all are just working to become the best linebackers that we can be," Grass said during spring ball. "None of us are 6-3, 260 and pure muscle like Leo. We can't replace Leo's skill set. "But we're going to become the best version of ourselves so we can help this team." - Journal Sentinel
