Former Tennessee offensive guard James Robinson is moving to South Alabama a Division I transfer. Robinson, originally from Montgomery, has three seasons of eligibility remaining. He played in all 13 games - primarily on special teams - for the Volunteers in 2021 after redshirting as a true freshman. The 6-foot-4, 340-pound Robinson was rated a 3-star prospect in the 2020 recruiting class. He was a first-team Class 6A All-State pick as a senior at Carver High School in 2019. Robinson is the fourth Power 5 transfer to commit to the Jaguars in the current cycle, joining running backs Omni Wells (Mississippi State) and Marco Lee (Virginia Tech) and safety Marvin Martin (Kansas State). South Alabama is expected to add a half-dozen or so more by the time summer workouts begin in June. - Birmingham News
