It appears as if we will not get the chance to see Kamarro Edmonds play in a UNC football uniform. Earlier this week, Edmonds announced that he will enter the transfer portal. After earning a redshirt during his freshman season, the Havelock, North Carolina native will have four years of eligibility remaining. The announcement is rather surprising, given that the Tar Heels recently wrapped up their set of spring practices. After having what is reported as a good spring camp, it seemed as if Edmonds was set to make an impact in the backfield this season. However, Edmonds decided to explore his options, as the former four-star prospect should draw plenty of interest from other college programs. His departure leaves a hole in the Tar Heels running back depth chart, but fortunately, the program returns the likes of British Brooks, Caleb Hood and D.J. Jones while also adding two incoming freshman to the mix. The Tar Heels have done well in the transfer portal as of late, as Mack Brown and his staff have earned commitments from Ohio State transfers Lejond Cavazos and Jacolbe Cowan. - Keeping It Heel.com
