  OCT 11 BIG 12 NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK: Caleb Williams, Oklahoma, QB, Fr.,...Backup freshman quarterback Williams accounted for 300 total yards and three touchdowns while commanding Oklahoma to its comeback win. OU outscored the Longhorns 38-13 from the time he took over QB duties late in the second quarter (when OU trailed 35-17) and scored on seven of nine possessions through the end of the game. Williams threw for 212 yards (16-of-25) with two touchdowns and rushed for 88 yards on four carries. His 300 yards of total offense were the most by an OU true freshman against Texas in series history. He entered for a 4th-and-inches play at the start of the second quarter and raced 66 yards for his second rushing TD of the season. With 1:02 left in the third quarter, he found Marvin Mims for a 14-yard strike and his first career passing touchdown. He hit Mims again on a 52-yard play that tied the game at 41 after OU's successful two-point conversion. Williams' 66-yard touchdown was OU's longest rushing play of the season and its third-longest rushing TD a by quarterback against Texas. - Big 12 football
