  SEPT 13 BIG SOUTH SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: North Alabama punter Joe Gurley (Killen, Ala.) averaged 45.1 yards on eight punts against nationally-ranked Chattanooga, with just four returned for a total of eight yards. He boomed two kicks beyond 50 yards with a long of 57, had two downed inside the Mocs' 20-yard line, and did not record a touchback. On the eight ensuing drives, Chattanooga managed only one score (field goal), punted four times and committed two turnovers. Also nominated for Special Teams Player of the Week: Reece Moulton (Campbell), Miller Braddock (Charleston Southern), Nathan Robertson (Kennesaw State) and Nick Null (Monmouth). - Big South Football
