  Draft Scout by Conference

The Gamecocks have the depth and versatility to run two tight-end sets this season. Senior Nick Muse is the unquestioned No. 1 tight end and could be poised for a big season after passing up a chance at the NFL and return to USC. The William & Mary transfer was the team's second-leading receiver this past season with 30 catches for 425 yards and a touchdown. He said he never got back to where he wanted to be after tearing his ACL late in the 2019 campaign, so he decided to come back one more year and improve his draft stock.

"Nick can do everything and he is really intent on improving his run blocking because that is something he knows he needs to do on the next level," USC tight ends coach Erik Kimrey said. "But he also can go out and split out for you. He does an outstanding job of creating space with his body and his route running. "He is the leader in our tight end room and on our team, so there is not much he doesn't bring to the table. And he has been a wonderful guy for me to lean on with this being my first year coaching the position." - Rock Hill Herald
