Draft Scout College Football Player News

It took nearly 18 months, but Jordan Anthony has found a new home. The former Michigan linebacker announced Monday night that he has verbally committed to Troy University, a Sun Belt school in southern Alabama. Anthony first entered his name into the NCAA's popular transfer portal in December 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic swept the United States. He had accumulated enough credits to graduate from Michigan last July, making him eligible to transfer to another school and play immediately.

Yet, it took more than a year to find a landing spot. The 6-foot, 245-pound linebacker played three seasons at Michigan, appearing in 16 games as a rotational linebacker and on special teams. A former four-star recruit and top-100 prospect, Anthony came to Michigan from IMG Academy, one of the premier prep schools for athletes in the country. He amassed an impressive 79 tackles (five for a loss), 1/2 sack and three pass defended as a senior, even earning five-star status from recruiting service Rivals. - Ann Arbor News
