Kevin Brennan, Mychal Cooper, Diego Fagot and Chance Warren were almost unanimous selections as captains of the Navy football team. Those four rising seniors were also unanimous when asked what it means to be voted captain by teammates. To a man, they called it the highest honor they have received to date. "It's a great honor and one of the things I'll hold onto for the rest of my life because it's not something you did, it's your teammates voting you in and that humbles me," Fagot said. "We all feel blessed to be in the position to represent the team as a whole."Warren and Cooper were chosen as the offensive captains with Brennan and Fagot as their defensive counterparts. They were voted as captains earlier this month, shortly after Navy spring camp concluded. "I'm very excited about our captains and I'm really excited about this team. These four have really made an effort during the spring to bring the team together and that's been a big priority for them," Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo said. "Also, nobody outworks these four on the field and when your best players are your hardest workers, you have a chance to be good." - Capital Times
