  Memphis junior running back Tim Taylor is in the transfer portal. Taylor was not on the roster during spring practice. In three seasons, Taylor rushed for 158 yards and scored his lone touchdown last season on a 47-yard run. He appeared in 17 games after graduating from East High School. Taylor, who has two seasons of eligibility remaining, helped East win the Class 4A state championship in 2016 as a senior. The Tigers' running back room is crowded with Rodrigues Clark, Kylan Watkins, Asa Martin and Marquavius Weaver battling for the starting job. - Memphis Commercial Appeal
