  Draft Scout by Conference

As a native of the Tampa Bay area, Jacob Harris grew up rooting for the hometown Buccaneers. He quickly identified with receiver Mike Evans, whose 6-foot-5 lanky frame reminded Harris of his build, providing him with inspiration as he took off on his football path. But as the former UCF receiver begins the next step toward a possible NFL career, the thought of someday playing for the Bucs is intriguing. "That would mean a lot to my family," Harris said. "I'm a Tampa boy and I would love to go to Tampa, but I'm open to going anywhere. It doesn't matter where I land." Harris was among 10 former UCF players taking part in the program's Pro Day Thursday, each looking to make their case before the April 29-May 1 draft. The 6-5, 219-pounder caught the attention of many of the representatives from all 32 NFL teams on hand at Nicholson Fieldhouse when he ran the 40-yard dash in a blazing 4.39 seconds. "I didn't surpass my expectations, but I wanted to run a little bit faster than that," said Harris, who declared for the NFL draft after three seasons with the Knights. "I'm happy with how the day went. There's not much I can complain about." - Orlando Sentinel
