Outside linebacker Tyler Guidry is out the rest of the spring with an injury, Ragin' Cajuns coach Billy Napier said after practice Tuesday. Guidry - hurt during practice Saturday, UL's third spring workout - will undergo shoulder surgery Friday, according to Napier. "He'll be back by June and ready to train in the summer," Napier said. Guidry, a sophomore with 30 total tackles in 23 games over two years, had one start last season. The Cajuns opened spring practice without outside linebacker Chauncey Manac, who - Napier revealed for the first time Tuesday - underwent postseason surgery to repair an undisclosed injury and "will be back in the summer." With Manac and now Guidry out, and 2020 Jack outside linebacker starter Joe Dillon taking part in UL's Pro Day on Monday rather than returning for a seventh season, Napier counts A.J. Riley and Tanner Wiggins among those can take advantage of extra snaps this spring. - Daily Advertiser
