South Alabama landed a verbal commitment from an SEC offensive line transfer on Wednesday. James Jackson, who started two games at center at Mississippi State in 2020, is headed to the Jaguars. He will graduate from MSU in May and will have two seasons o f eligibility at South Alabama beginning this fall. The 6-foot-3, 330-pound Jackson grew up in Pascagoula, Miss., just over the state line from Mobile. He was a 3-star recruit in Mississippi State's 2017 signing class. Jackson, who redshirted as a true f reshman at Mississippi State, has played both offensive and defensive line in his college career. He played 12 games at defensive tackle in 2018 and 2019 before moving to offense and playing in 10 games last season, starting against Kentucky and Texas A& | | |
