One of Georgia's top players will be out indefinitely. The school announced Wednesday morning that standout wide receiver George Pickens, an Alabama native and former Hoover star, suffered an ACL injury during the team's Tuesday practice. Pickens was a five-star member of Georgia's 2019 recruiting class and had 36 catches, 513 yards and six touchdowns in eight games last season. That came after he posted 49 catches, 727 yards and eight touchdowns as a freshman. "The good news is that the MRI showed it to be an isolated injury with no other structures involved," said UGA head coach Kirby Smart. "George is a hard worker. I know he will bring the same work ethic to rehab that he shows in practice every day." - Birmingham News
