Former South Carolina quarterback Ryan Hilinski announced Tuesday he is transferring to Northwestern. He is expected to become the Wildcats starter after Peyton Ramsey, who transferred in last season from Indiana, announced after the season he won't return. Hilinski will have three more years of eligibility as the NCAA is not counting the 2020 season against athletes' eligibility clocks. Hilinski started 11 games for South Carolina as a freshman in 2019, throwing for 2,357 yards with 11 touchdowns and five interceptions. - Chicago Tribune
