Draft Scout College Football Player News

An impressive bowl win helped Nevada to finish the 2020 football season ranked among the best teams in the country. The Wolf Pack (7-2) finished just shy of the top 25 in both the USA Today coaches' poll and the Associated Press Top 25 media poll, the two most prestigious national polls in college football. Nevada's season ended with a 38-27 win over Tulane in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl in December. The Pack received 17 voting points in the USA Today poll, finishing seventh in the "others receiving votes" designation. Mountain West champion San Jose State (7-1) finished No. 24 in the poll, with 100 points. Boise State, which lost the Mountain West championship game to SJSU, received six points in the final balloting. In the final AP Top 25 poll, Nevada received seven points. San Jose State, the only other MW team to receive a vote, matched its coaches' poll finish by coming in at No. 24 in the AP balloting. - Reno Gazette Journal
