Former All-Big 12 tight end Grant Calcaterra won't be transferring to Auburn after all. The former Oklahoma standout, who signed with Auburn as a transfer during December's early signing period, announced on Friday evening that he will not be playing for the Tigers next season and will seek to finish out his college career at another program. A 6-foot-4, 242-pounder originally from California, Calcaterra planned to come to Auburn as a graduate transfer. He has not played in a college game since Oct. 5, 2019, when injuries cut his junior season short that year. He then stepped away from football due to a series of concussions he sustained during his career, but he had a chance of heart this fall and decided to pursue a return to the field as a transfer in 2021. - Birmingham News
