  Draft Scout by Conference

The exodus out of the Michigan State football program continued on Christmas Eve. Redshirt sophomore cornerback Chris Jackson became the latest Spartans player to enter the NCAA transfer portal, submitting his name Thursday. His departure is not a surprise as head coach Mel Tucker hinted that it was coming before the early signing period last week. Jackson made two starts at the outset of the season before suffering an injury that caused him to miss games against Iowa and Indiana.

He later returned to the field against Northwestern and Ohio State as a reserve. By the time the Spartans' final game was canceled against Maryland last weekend, Jackson logged 190 snaps on defense and special teams while contributing nine tackles and a pass breakup. A former three-star prospect from Marietta, Georgia, Jackson becomes the 13th Michigan State player to enter the transfer portal since Nov. 16 as head coach Mel Tucker continues to reshape the roster during his first year in East Lansing. - Lansing State Journal
