  Auburn wide receiver Anthony Schwartz successfully underwent surgery to repair a broken bone in his hand on Monday, a source confirmed to Schwartz injured his hand during a blocking drill in practice on Sunday, which was the Tigers' third practice of fall camp and the first day in shells.

The source did not know an estimated timeline for Schwartz's return. Auburn coach Gus Malzahn is expected to address Schwartz's status after Tuesday's practice, when he is scheduled to meet with the local media in the evening. Schwartz sent out a tweet on Monday afternoon thanking fans for their "thoughts and prayers." - Birmingham News
